David Obura is Founding Director of CORDIO East Africa, as well as the chair of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). He provided key insights on the importance of biodiversity, climate adaptation and mitigation, as well as accountability in tackling the climate crisis.
